Apple doesn’t publish what apps earn. We read the public App Store charts every day and turn an app’s position in the top grossing chart into an estimated monthly revenue: the higher the rank, the higher the estimate. For apps outside that chart, we use the price and the pace of new reviews.
These figures are estimates for the US App Store, before Apple’s commission. Use them to compare apps and spot what works, not as exact accounts.
Yes. Rankings, trends and app pages are free and need no account. Only downloading an app’s stats card asks you to sign in.

They give an order of magnitude. Like every estimate tool, they can be off for a single app, and are more reliable near the top of the chart.
It’s the largest and most watched store, and our daily history is built on it. Other countries may come later.
