Ad placement rules
Where to place your ads, and where to avoid them, so your AdMob account stays safe.
Google checks how ads are placed in your app. A bad placement can limit your ads, or even close your account. Bloxks already follows these rules when it places your ads: keep them in mind when you ask for changes in the chat.
Banner
- At the bottom of a screen, or at the end of a content screen.
- Never squeezed against a button, a menu or the navigation bar: a clear gap avoids accidental taps.
- Not on a screen where people keep tapping, like a game in progress.
Full-screen ad
- Only after a finished step: the end of a level, a completed lesson, a saved result.
- At most one for every two user actions, and never two in a row.
- Never when the app opens, nor when the user leaves it.
Bloxks also enforces a pause: no full-screen ad in the first 30 seconds, nor less than 60 seconds after the previous one.
Rewarded video
- The button clearly says what you get, like "Watch a video for +1 life".
- It stays optional: the user chooses to watch it, and can always continue without.
- The reward is something in your app, never money or anything worth money.
Apps for kids
Don’t use this ads module in an app aimed at children. Apple forbids third-party ads in the Kids category, and Google Play only allows ads certified for children, with special settings, in apps aimed at them.
If Google finds a problem
AdMob warns you by email and in its Policy center. Fix the placement in the chat, publish an update, then ask for a review in AdMob.
